Howdy, come on in, kick off your boots and sit a spell...

During the winter of 1998-99 I met many friends online. One of the best friends was Marian. We found that the more we talked, the more we were alike. Both of us were gong to have the summer off so we quickly planned many wonderful hours of riding.  Marina lives near Spokane, and riding in Chewelah was a major highlight of my summer.

This is Rob, another favorite riding partner.  He lives in Montana, and has wonderful places to ride. He enjoyed riding Tony both in Washington, and again in Montana.

Is this a scary foursome or what?  This is Lynn on Dusty, Marian on Pushka, Me on Tony, and Jennifer on Cody.

In southern Washington I rode with another good friend named Charlie.  Her he is riding Tony.  We rode on the John Wayne trail, and then up to the Alpine lakes.  On July 1, 1999 both my horses were belly deep in the snow.

The next  pictures were  taken of Cody and I on the Pacific Coast.  My dream was to ride on the beach, and thanks to a wonderful friend by the name of Carol, I got to do that.

Here is Tami, Carol's daughter, getting ready to ride on the beach. That is me over the top of her horse in the background

Riding along the ocean, Cody wasn't sure she liked this water, and she wanted a drink, but when ever the water got close and she wanted a drink, it disappeared.  One time the wave came in at her sideways. I never knew that horse could side pass so well.. LOL

One more picture of Cody and I. This was a wonderful ride, and even though the wind was blowing like crazy, It was a wonderful day.

Cody was so thirsty, and there was so much water she couldn't drink.  I tried giving her a drink from my Boda bag, but that didn't work very well either.

This picture was taken in Oregon, on the Molalla Trail,  That ride was an adventure. I always call my rides adventures, then if something goes wrong it is no problem, just a part of the adventure. On this ride we had a wonderful adventure, where we got into a ground hornets nest.  There were 5 of us, and the first two horses made it through with no problem, suddenly one of the horses started jumping around, I thought he had his feet tied up in something and was trying to see what was wrong, as Cody started jumping around.  I was still trying to see what was the problem as I heard Carol's horse start up, then Carol started yelling "GO, GO"  After we were away from the hornets, and realized no one was hurt it became the topic of the ride.  See, all part of the adventure.
